Welcome to Alderney Angling and Sports incorporating this website http://www.alderneyangling.com/

 My name is Mark Harding and I have owned this shop since January 2004. We stock a wide selection of fishing tackle which would cater for all your sea fishing needs whilst you holiday in this beautiful island. I also stock a wide selection of sports equipment, footwear and clothing which includes Nike and Adidas at great prices. I have too a range of binoculars and telescope at VAT free prices. 

I have been a boat and shore angler for what now seems an eternity, 34 years, and have decided to come to the southern side of the English Channel to what I consider to be the mecca of UK fishing. Born and bred in the Portsmouth area I grew up with some great fishing but nowadays you have to travel a minimum of 25 miles generally to get to the better fishing grounds. I have been here 18 months (1st July 2005) and have found here that you don't need to travel those distances with good fishing just outside the harbour. Shore fishing compares with anywhere in the UK too. I have regular updates on the site so you can read what, when and how it happens.  This website is still under construction and in time I shall use it to convey the latest fishing reports, tackle, methods and baits being used, and what you can expect to happen in the forthcoming months. Take a look too at the mail order and the tackle/bait prices guide so you can take advantage of VAT free shopping. If you are planning a trip over to Alderney have a look at the links page which will get you to flight and accommodation sites, and for those of you boat fishing there are sites for the charter boats.  If you cannot find the information you are looking for, please contact me at the address below, email or phone.
Please bear with me though that this website is still under construction and it will take me a little time to get the information on here. This winter I will, get a lot of those blank pages filled and increase the mail order pages.........promise!
