PENN POWERSTIX RANGE A rod range acknowledging the changing shape of modern sea angling and introducing rods designed for new emerging markets. These blanks are manufactured to be lightweight, but with progressively powerful, semi-fast and fast taper actions. All the rods in the range are built to maximize performance for the angler; we’ve also taken the liberty to add a Cordura tube for transportation and storage. Powerstix Pro Boat & Uptide Featuring four-piece equal section blanks, these rods offer a semi-supple tip to maximise bite detection and give sport with smaller species, but under pressure the power curve becomes progressively more powerful which produces the stiffness in the lower sections to tire big fish. Used for sandbank rays, tope and huss, this rod can also be used for light reef and wreck fishing for cod, conger, huss, ling and big turbot. Ideal for overseas fishing for dentex, dorado, sailfish, striped marlin and roosterfish. Use these rods for general down tide boat fishing for gurnard, codling, dabs, whiting, bass, rays, tope and huss. The two-piece uptide rod is rated at 4-10oz.
